Course Description:

The Permanent Classic Eyeliner course offered by Trivine Permanent Makeup and Skin Technology Training is designed to equip students with the necessary skills to apply natural-looking classical eyeliner. The course will also cover the concept of Smokey eyeliner, considered a Masters technique, although it will not be performed during the training.

Course Duration and Hands-on Training:

The course will span 40 hours of hands-on training, which will be conducted over a 2–3-day period. During this time, students will receive practical training and guidance to master the art of permanent eyeliner application. The training centre will prioritize building each student’s confidence practically and imparting theoretical knowledge concerning the application process and the outcome of the pigment, considering factors such as natural skin melanin and the healed result.

Course Curriculum:

The Permanent Classic Eyeliner course will cover the following topics:

  1. Introduction to Permanent Makeup: Familiarizing students with the world of permanent makeup and its applications.
  2. Legal Documentations and Insurance: Understanding the necessary legal and insurance aspects relevant to the permanent makeup industry.
  3. Skin Anatomy and Physiology: Discussing the anatomy and physiology of the skin, including skin undertones and types.
  4. Face Morphology: Understanding the complete facial morphology.
  5. Eye Anatomy and Function: Studying the anatomical structure and physiological functioning of the eye.
  6. Pigments: Exploring different types of pigments, including organic and inorganic inks and dyes. Understanding Colour selection for permanent makeup.
  7. Colour Lift and Eyeliner Removal: Techniques for Colour lift and eyeliner removal when necessary.
  8. Ink Retention: Determining the retention rates of different types of inks.
  9. Workstation and Hygiene: Setting up a proper workstation and maintaining hygienic practices.
  10. Blood Borne Pathogen Treatment: Learning protocols for handling bloodborne pathogens during and after procedures.
  11. Sanitation and Sterilization: Emphasizing the importance of sanitation, sterilization, and adhering to OSHA and CDC guidelines.
  12. Client Preparation: Preparing clients before the permanent makeup procedure.
  13. Safe Methodological Practices: Implementing safe practices during each permanent makeup procedure.
  14. Local Anaesthetics: Safe application of primary and secondary numbing agents.
  15. Needle Knowledge: Understanding needle selection, configurations, diameter, and tapering.
  16. Eyeliner Design and Shapes: Practicing different designs and shapes of permanent eyeliners.
  17. Contraindications: Identifying relative and absolute contraindications for permanent eyeliner application.
  18. Case Studies and Histories: Reviewing practical reports and case histories.
  19. Hands-on Procedures: Practical application on live models.
  20. Pre-care and Aftercare Protocols: Discussing protocols to be communicated with every client.
  21. Touch-up Procedures: Understanding re-touches and refining/refreshing Colours.
  22. Marketing Tools and Tips: Exploring marketing strategies in the permanent makeup industry.
  23. Photography and Videography Tips: Learning how to capture the work effectively for documentation and promotional purposes.
  24. Ongoing Support: Providing access to ongoing support from the permanent makeup trainer.

Eyeliner Training Cost:

The cost for the Permanent Classic Eyeliner Course is R6800.

Included in the Course:

  1. Eyeliner Permanent Makeup Kit: Trivine will supply a kit for training purposes, which is not included in the course fee, Only the Little Rotary Machine will be included in the Course.
  2. Practice Materials: Students will work on eyeliner-specific practice skin pads.
  3. Live Model Application: Students will have the opportunity to work on live models during the 2nd/3rd day of the training. Models will need to be arranged by the students, and models may be required to pay a minimal fee (R350) to secure their appointment.
  4. Course Materials: Students will receive a colour manual.
  5. Refreshments: Tea, coffee, water, and snacks will be provided during tea breaks and smoke breaks. A light lunch with refreshments will also be included (special dietary requirements should be notified in advance).

Requirements for Students:

  1. Stationery: Students should bring notebooks and pens.
  2. Personal Equipment: Students are required to bring their own permanent makeup machine, couplers, needle caps/tips, and needles.
  3. Uniform: It is compulsory to wear the provided uniform during the training.
  4. Payment: The balance of the training fee (50%) needs to be paid upfront in full one week before the training date. Cash payments are not accepted; only Payfast, Inkfin, card payments, or EFTs are accepted.
