Waxing is a temporary (non-permanent form) hair removal technique, wherein warm and cold wax (beeswax combination ingredients) are used to epilate the hair from the desired area. The hot or cold wax is then applied directly to the area and then pulled back in a 45degree angle. The unwanted hair is then pulled out along with the wax.

The most popular areas for waxing are eyebrows, upper lip, pubic area, back, arms, legs and underarms. However, any area on the body can be waxed.

Hair growth in waxed areas does not happen for at least 2–8 weeks unless the client might have a secondary growth. When hair is flat shaved or removed using a depilatory cream (Veet), the hair is removed only at skin surface rather than the root of the hair, and within few days, the hair is visible on the surface. With these methods, hair tends to grow back in coarse stubble form and can feel even itchy and painful in some areas.
Areas that are repeatedly waxed over an extended period of time often exhibit re-growth that is finer, fewer and softer.
